He didn't tell the referee "I Quit" or "I don't want to continue.", he took voluntary knees, doesn't mean he quit.

And look at TheMachine's video, Mexican fighters quit as well.

Does a woman getting ****d have to say "no" for you to understand she doesn't want the chorizo?

different rules apply with two mexicans obviously haha, good one though.. bottom line is a mexican wouldnt be allowed to step foot in mexico had he quit to a puerto rican, or took a knee without getting hit and waiting for someone to stop the fight..., as for puerto ricans they accept cotto with open arms and look for excuses.

Miguel did not quit. Tony won fair and square, But Cotto didn't quit. Sorry to make another thread about this though..
The reason the corner stopped the fight is because Cotto retreated the entire ring, and then dropped to a knee without a punch being landed.
          He quit.

It's different though, if his corner hadn't stopped the fight, Cotto would have probably fought on.

He backed up across the entire ring and took his second knee of the round rather than fire back or make any attempt to fight at all.

clearly not, seeing as he showed he did not want to fight based on his previous actions before the fight was stopped.

he didnt even fight after the first knee, what makes you think he wouldve fought after the second, he was begging for someone to stop the fight.

So you mean to tell me that Israel Vazquez is shot and going down hill because he quit in the FIRST of THREE grueling matches against Rafael Marquez? Or is Israel Vazquez, who comes to fight to the tone of Rancheras, Puerto Rican? Lsat time I checked he wasn't. Or what about Marco Antonio Barreras when he suffered the same Cotto suffered to the hands of Manny Pacquiao, was he shot then? Because if I'm not mistaken he fought and became a champion again many times after that hell of a beating he took and as far as I can remember he is Mexican, so what new excuse you have now after I completely **** on your statement you tool.

I think Bayless was just about to stop it either way.

Cotto backpedaled from one end of the ring to the other and just took a knee. He looked ready to wave it off.
