Okay old school boxing fans.....Johnson V Ali V Louis

Who is the greatest heavyweight champion of all time. Jack Johnsons style, Ali's speed, or Louis's power? Who wins in this threesome of the three kings of the heavyweight division? I will take Louis over both, Johnson and Ali as the 3rd best heavyweight of all time.

I don't think there has ever been a fighter that could have beat Louis the night he destroyed Max Schmeling. Ali second, and Johnson third out of this list. Just my opinion.

man.....the Brown Bomber was really amazing.....and to hold the heavyweight title for 12 years?!?!?!?!? Thats INSANE!!!

I mean really insane when you think about it. I'd prolly go with Louis with Ali closely trailing. Johnson 3rd just because Ali and Louis were a bit better probably due to more modern times and advancements.

oh by the way you should make this into a poll

I'd go with Ali. He was way to fast and I think he'd be able to outbox Louis. Billy Conn was out boxing Louis until he got Kod. Louis had problems with movers.

I haven't seen much of Johnson.

I would go with Ali first, just because the guy was really mobile and athletic for a HW and not to mention a smart fighter. Then second Louis. Even though it's really close for me with Ali, but I give Ali a small edge. Then Johnson third.

With Johnson though what he did was truely amazing when you think about the times he lived in. It's amazing that he ever got a title fight and that he kept it for as long as he did when basically the whole white race in America was against him and they tried to find anybody that could beat him. Then the way he acted with dating white women and being as flamboyent as he was in those times. Im suprised he wasn't killed. I've always wondered why they have never made a movie about him. Because I personally would love to see it.

i'd have to go with muhammad over joe.

muhammad has the advantage in almost every category.

joe is only better in the power and defense category but with ali's chin and speed advantage those 2 categories won't mean much.

we all saw what a slick light heavyweight billy conn did in the 1st fight to joe. muhammad is way taller , way bigger , way faster and way more skilled than the great billy conn.

how did kirk johnson get in the mix?

They did....its pretty good starring James Earl Jones. Its called The Great White Hope

but i think they should make some more modern version movies of Jack Johnson and Sugar Ray Robinson........kinda how the did with Ray Charles you know?

but yea Jack Johnson did some outlandish things back at a time when you could have easily been killed for it.......a strong bold man he was
