In which fight was Cotto's performance more admirable? Mosley of Marg?
I dont think many posters here know the definition of "admirable"

U can lose a fight, yet had fought admirably. At the same time, u can win a fight, yet fought cowardly.

The spartans ultimately lost the war against the mighty Persian Army, yet they fought most "admirably"

      Get it?

Running is term that really shouldn't be used in boxing. But he was definitely moving away from Margarito at all times trying to use his speed and skill.

the spartans were clear underdogs but cotto was the favorite going into the fight with margarito. that just ruins your analogy.

Compare the odds to that of the spartans against the persians, and that of Cotto vs Marg.

Anyway, the point that i was trying to make was, u can fight a tough battle, lose, and still have fought more admirably than some who actually win.

I have this image of the all the Spartan warriors taking a knee.

only if you're a clear underdog which cotto was not.

your spartan/persian analogy fits baldomir/judah much better.

mayweather put on a boxing clinic against the undisputed welterweight champ. Cotto fought with a lot of heart against a far more dangerous opponent and got beat. both pretty admirable to me for different reasons, but u can't really compare the two!
