Ricky Hatton is a bum.

Hatton mentioned it some time after his loss, so yeah it did get highlighted. Also, I remember the commentators being salty towards Cortez throughout the fight.Comment

No it's just some people on here. In this guys defence, cortez was/is a joke, but Hatton still got KO'd he can't seriously blame the ref for that can he??
But answering your question, no I haven't heard anyone blaming the ref for hatton's defeat.Comment

please, the interviewer called the refereeing a 'disgrace', how is that saving embarrassment?
If they're interviewing Hatton then they would bring cortez up just to save hatton from a bit of embarrassment, But the general conclusion is he got KTFO by the better fighter.
Us britsh people arent sore-losers but you have to understand that Hatton himself have some delusional fans.
many british fighters came out and said the same.
Hatton said the same, but they're all wrong and you're rightComment

Would Malignaggi embaress him like in his last fight against Lovemore N'dou??
I seem to remember a very average looking 'Magic man' scraping through the fight and being totally upstaged by his awful haircut.Comment

Spot on son, i'm British but ive said for a long time Hatton is one of the most carefully matched hype jobs in the sportIt annoys the ****ing hell out of me when the media (maybe it's only in Britain that it happens) talk him up like he's the dogs bollocks, referring to him such ways as "one of Britain's greatest", "an all-time great" etc. In my opinion he's ****ing ****e and has never beaten a prime world class opponent. Maybe this is widely accepted and common knowledge now but I haven't been around for a while. Something else which annoys me is when Hatton fans talk about how exciting he is to watch and call him the Manchester Mexican.
In his last 6 wins he's fought 2 absolute ****ing boring unanimous decisions, against Urango he ran like a scared f4ggot at times and was hurt to the body, and against Lazcano he would have been stopped if the ref didn't cheat. The Collazo fight he lost anyway so that doesn't even count. Then the win against Castillo was an absolute farce, they trying to bill it as a prime Castillo. Hatton saying "There was more excitement in them 4 rounds than Floyds career", oh my ****ing God. The Maussa fight, again Hatton was lucky with his cuts, he wasn't far from being stopped. Maussa was no more than a lucky journeyman who fought an overhyped fighter at the right time and picked up a paper title. We all know that the Tszyu fight was just another case of Frank Warren pitting his fighter against an over the hill, shot fighter at just the right time.
Who has Hatton fought that makes him a future hall of famer, or an all time great, or one of Britains best ever, or any of these other ****ing ****** monikers they refer to him by?
I'm ****ing sick of this. I feel like saying the word **** alot today, for ****sake.
Hatton will probably have made close to £100m when it's all said and done, and all he's acheived in that time as far as greatness goes is getting his ****ing pasty ass handed to him by a legitimate "world class" fighter. Other than that I see nothing he's done which stands out. Titles are 10 a penny in this day and age, saying "Oh well, he is a 20 time champions" holds about as much water as Anoraks bowels after a night on the curry with Danny Williams down the local mosque.
Paulie Malignaggi is ****, and it wouldn't even surprise me if he takes Hatton the distance and makes him look even more dumb and one-dimensional than he already does (if it's possible). He didn't fight Witter and now Witter slipped up he'll never have to which is a real shame. Timothy Bradley isn't really anything yet, although he's got a decent style enough for Hatton not to be interested in wanting to fight him. Kotelnik is a bit **** and I wouldn't be surprised if Hatton wants to fight him some time down the road. Manny Pacquiao would make Hatton his *****, probably knock him out.Comment
