He is teetering on the brink of being EXPOSED once and for all. Mayweather whooping him made a large majority of people (me included) sit up and realize that he was not this amazing fighter we were led to believe after all. I think if Paulie beats him that will just be the without a doubt guarentee. In fact, I'd say he might be "Britain's Biggest Name" that's about it. Our best fighters at the moment are... David Haye, Joe Calzaghe, Carl Froch, Amir Khan and probably Kevin Mitchell. I think if Hatton didn't get the RING title when he beat Tszyu, he would have had to fight someone half decent before Mayweather and got his 0 wiped alot earlier.

Seriously, alot of the marketing as far as Hatton is concerned is around "The Undisputed Light Welterweight Champion", "The RING Light Welterweight Champ", but does anyone remember him making any tough defenses of the RING belt? Or is it just a gimmick he's using. It kinda reminds me of Sven Ottke. If anything he's devalued the RING belt at light welter.

Ricky Hatton is one of the greatest JWW of All-Time. The Hitman is also the current Ring, linear, people's Champion, and a P4P ranked fighter. Deal with it!

1- I disagree. He is a good fighter, but no way is he one of the greats at 140 imo.

2-Is anyone else bored of the 'peoples champion' stuff? I believed it up to the Mayweather fight but somehow he seemed a bit different after that fight. I dunno.

You not big on Froch either?

I ain't fond of him. I don't feel he will go that far and i am not particularly a fan of his.

Urango, Collazo, Maussa, Tszyu were champs at the time Hatton beat them.

I agree with you about the hype about him being was too much, But i would not say a bum. I think he is a good fighter who has done pretty well, but is not a great by any means.
I agree all the way. Hatton is not a bum at all.
