Jones was shot ,excuses he was the same age as Calzaghe and possibly younger

he looked 'phenomenal one of a kind " because he fought people like Ricky Frazier etc he is a highlight reel fighter who has an undeserved rep because he whooped people like Farzier so easy

Thas true, but what really matters is how the fighter is affected. If Joe looked bad like Roy did against Tarver, was clearly old/ and OR weight drained, would that excuse the loss?

it doesnt "excuse" the loss? you still lost....

but it is a "reason" for not performing at your best, and most likely causing the loss of the match... a very very valid reason...
