HOW? Explain this **** to me. Nothing he did in the fight worked. He boxed and got whooped. He stayed there and brawled and gave up. How can Cotto win a fight against Margs? Cotto is suited for Margs. Margs wins even easier next time.

De La Hoya recently said(on YES)he would probably pick the toughest guy out there for his last hurrah. So Oscar, who will it be? Margarito or Cotto? Don't count on either guy unless Oscar decides to risk his reputation and gives us a bout that everyone, including casual fans, will buy. In a rematch, Margarito beats Cotto, again.

all Cotto needs to do is change his damn trainer and work on his footwork and stamina, only then would he be able to defeat the immovable object named Antonio Margarito. His defense and offense is already good enough, no need to change anything in those dept.

Cotto also needs tips to be slick and cagey, especially clinching. He was lacking that vs. Antonio

          Lets get some things straight:

          Cotto didnt SURVIVE 11 Rounds:

He was winning the fight and succumbed to VOLUMES of punches late in the fight.

Margaritos in no way boxings new Chuck Norris

HE CAN AND WILL BE BEAT....probably by Paul Williams or Floyd

          Margarito has a great chin.....for a WW:

Margs probably not even suppose to be a WW, just like Paul Williams. Their dimensions are more so built for 154 and up. (NOT KNOCKIN EITHER ONE....IM JUST SAYIN, thats like Wlad slimming down to pick on 175 pounders)

If a rematch happens Cotto WILL win....IF:

He tighens up his defense and ups his conditioning a little

          what ya'll think?
I agree 110% with your anaylsis.I think Cotto had the match in the bag.But on the other hand he couldnt stand the blows anymore he had been blocking and dodging. So yeah Cotto had all the stats and all the numbers in my opinion to win a decision. But at the end of the day Margdarito came away with the W.I'm a huge Cotto fan and not a MArg fan but I have to give it to him he did beat Cotto.I think Cotto would definately win a rematch because he will be better conditioned and he will go to the body more.I think if cotto would have went to the body all the fight he could have possibly got a ud on Marg.Because I think he would have slowed Marg down alot if he had went after the body and not Marg's iron chin.Anyways props again to marg fans.I wish marg the best in his future matches.

You must have been watching the Golden johnson fight and thought it was live?Because the fight I watched Cotto was winning the majority of the fight.Check the punch stats and watch the Cotto-Marg fight and you will see what I'm talking about.

Cotto didn't go to the body much for 2 reasons I think.

              1. he couldn't help himself but go to Margo's head because it was such an easier target.

              2. he didn't want to be exposed to an uppercut (which he was becuz Margo knew if he ducked he'd tag him, which he did.)

are you serious??? Lets get real.

i know there were thousands of Marg fans saying to themselves before the 11th round "If Cotto makes it out he's prolly gonna take this on the cards"
Even the commentators were saying that, "if Cotto can survive he'll probably take the decision"

Cotto was boxing and landing effective combos on Marg very well....come on man, and Cotto never gave up. His corner came into the fight so the **** are you talkin about???

matter of fact.....body work and some clinching a lil earlier in the fight and i think Cotto edges it. if you notice Cotto didnt clinch barely at all choosing rather to fight and trade

IF the queen had balls, she'd be KING !

Cotto was doing a fine job of running, or a delaHoya impersonation.

Margarito by KO in 6rds in the rematch. Cotto will not want a rematch.

Cotto definitely had the stamina. It's the shots that he took is what wore him down. Cotto has to be more calculated and avoid taking more of Margarito's punches, especially in the later rounds.
