I thought it was more Vaz-Mar II just with it lasting a few more rounds. Because in Chavez-Taylor it was almost all Chavez on the inside and Taylor at distance. When they were in close Cotto got off excellent punches just like Marquez only thing is that he wasn't strong enough and Vaz/Margarito's had a longer lingering effect.

I even predicted Vaz-Marq type of fight back in May.

ive had this debate so many times over the years that i have no interest in doing it again. im just gonna say IMO if a fighter is ever not able to respond to the ref because he is seriously hurt then the fight needs to be stopped right then and there. i dont care if there is 1 second left or 2 minutes left. i dont care if that fighter was dominating the fight or gettting whooped. if a figher is not able to respond the fight needs to be stopped for his own safety period!

After that fight, he stepped up in weight and fought Terry Norris at junior middlweight(who was on the pound for pound list and is a hard puncher with good boxing skills) and even till this day, he is still an active fighter. His management just made some ****** decisions.

I just wouldn't stop a fight when a fighter was clear enough to beat the count and only 5 seconds are left on the clock. Chavez wouldn't have got across the ring and Taylor would have left untouched, had his title and retired with a win over Chavez. That is why he stil fighting, becuase he still feels that he has something to prove.
After there 2nd fight Taylor said in the interview that he was going to retire. But the man next to him Don King said, he should fight again and that he'll give him more fights with the performance he gave in the 2nd fight. King and others that wanted to make a buck off of Taylor only hurt him more.

If Steele already had it in mind not to stop the fight, and just give Taylor an 8 count then (if i recall) there would have been 15 or more seconds left in the round time enough to do plenty of damage.
