I congratulate both fighters for putting on what i call 2008 foty so far. i am not happy to see so many people calling him quitto etc, when in all honesty these people claim they do box but havent taken a quarter of the punishment he did. his spirit was willing but his flesh was weak he could do nothing more. im neither puerto rican or mexican but i can say i, as a boxing fan am proud of both fighters and what they did for boxing

I thought Cotto came in great shape and gave a superb effort. He gave a top-notch performance that was just not as great a performance as Margarito's. Similar to Marquez, Arguello or Meldrick Taylor. They just were worn down by the relentlessness of there opponents.

To be honest I thought Cotto had it in the bag the first 3-4 rounds with all those super clean and brutal head snapping shots.......I thought no way can Margarito keep taking those without eventually getting hurt and KD/KO or at least slowing down. **** was I wrong. Sometimes fights amaze me, I never thought Vaz-Marq III would ever see the scorecards either.
