The man deserves credit. He would have KO'd any other man last night with the shots that he was hitting Tony with. He put major Hands on Tony during those first 6 rounds. It was amazing to watch the kind of combinations he was able to put together. But he had a beast in front of him. And that beast was landing his shots much in the manner that Julio Cesar Chavez did in his classic encounter with Meldrick Taylor. There is nothing Cotto could have done better than he did last night. He cannot beat Tony Margarito. Tony is the Chupacabras, and he ****** the life out of Miguel Cotto last night. He'll be back, just not against the Tijuana Tornado.
All Props To Miguel Cotto For Fighting His Ass Off

Good post. Cotto certainly deserves a great deal more respect on here than he is receiving. He fought a very good fight, his opponent was just too strong and too tough for him. I felt Cotto would win the fight on the back of being able to make Margarito miss enough not to get hurt too badly. Turns out I was incorrect and Margarito hit him with a lot more than I thought he would be able to. Well done to both guys though, it was a truly great fight. -
I made a similar thread without seeing this one..my bad.....but anyways....Hell Yea....Cotto has mad props from me on that fight. Puerto Rico produces great champions and I'm happy cause without them this Great Rivalry between them and Us(Mexicans) wouldn't exist. Good Job Cotto on fighting your ass off. Hope he can rebound from this loss.Comment

Cotto deserves a lot of respect and props for fighting with everything he had. He was just in with an unstoppable force who wouldn't be denied, Cotto would have probably beat any other welterweight in the world with that performance.Comment

Absolutely. I was so impressed with Cotto last night that I couldn't believe how the fight turned around on him. It was the best fight I've seen in my life, just for the expectations involved and the drama of the turn around. Margarito's chin won that fight, I just couldn't believe that he was taking everything Cotto had and walking right through it. ****ing incredible....Comment

Cotto will be back, he'll overcome this, he'll win another brand of the 147 lb. crown soon but he won't fight the tall Mexican again, as he's the best of the rest. I think he could whip Oscar as Oscar is 10 yrs past his prime and if PBF finally will fight him my money would be on Cotto.Comment

funny ass post with 85% of it being true. as well as cotto performed on saturday i dont think he's that far from being able to beat a fighter like margarito. with the showing of saturday theres a good chance cotto can acomplish it. margarito is a great fighter, but he's not invincible. for every man there's a man and no im not talkin bout williams. in the welterweight div williams is nothin more than size and volume. The man deserves credit.
