Even Now, He Doesn't Seem To Be In Any Hurry To Fight Him.

It Looks Like Delahoya Isn't Interested And P. Williams Just Let Everybody Know That He Would Knock Him Out In A Rematch.

Is The Tijuana Tornado Gonna Take The Rematch? Perhaps He Can Turn Into Cotto And Have Bob Arum Be His Mouthpeace And Turn Down The Fight For Him, So He Doesn't Get Blamed.

Surely Arum Is In No Hurry To Put His Now Main Man At 147 Against Another Big Threat Who Isn't Under The Top Rank Umbrella. I Suspect He Will Try To Put Him In Against Clottey Since He Is A Top Rank Fighter, Should He Beat Judah.

    We Shall See

    .....lol!!!!

Vlad you are a ****en idiot. First off He never ducked him. you can say all you want to about public pressure or whatever bull**** you said fact is he ****en fought him when he was a nobody. Beating Margarito made PW somebody, second he didnt kick his ass and if you remember the damn fight Margs actually stunned PW and had him in a close competitive fight. He just started too slow. PW doesnt hit as hard as Cotto so knocking Tony out is a ****en joke. Hey did you write this much bull**** when FLOYD ducked let me see, Cotto, Tony, Mosley, PW, Cintron, Berto.....I can name a few more if you want puss.

ROFLMAO!!! I can sense you were mad when you wrote that.

Fact is your boy was all over Floyd for not fighting him and going after the bigger fights. He was also claiming to be the Most feared fighter and then one guy named Williams who also happened to be his mandatory called him out and challanged his "most ducked/feared man" status.

He originally turned the fight down but changed his mind due to people criticizing him for being a hypocrite. Is he asking for a rematch now?? Is he in a hurry to avenge his loss??? I don't see it, which is why I made this thread asking the question.

Now we shall see if I'm wrong about my theory.

Margarito has been offered 4million to fight P. Williams again. If Delahoya doesn't bite, this is his biggest money fight. No excuses.

Goossen Offers 4-Million For Margarito-Williams Rematch

              By Mark Vester

Dan Goossen, promoter for WBO welterweight champion Paul Williams, has sent a hefty offer to Bob Arum of Top Rank for a 2009 unification rematch with WBA champion Antonio Margarito. Williams won a close decision over Margarito last year.

Arum has mentioned several opponents for Margarito's next fight, but Williams is not one them. The reason given by Arum is the bad blood with Williams' advisor, Al Haymon. Goossen told boxing scribe Tim Smith that he sent Arum an offer for the rematch last week and has yet to hear back from anyone in Top Rank. Margarito's purse for the first Williams bout is still the highest of his career, $1.6 million to $1.5 for what he made against Miguel Cotto

"I sent Bob and offer sheet for a $4 million guarantee for the rematch in the first quarter of 2009 against 50% of the revenue," Goossen said. "If he rejected any part of the agreement he could flip it and I'll accept the same terms."

Arum told several outlets that he wanted to match Margarito against the winner of Joshua Clottey-Zab Judah, which Clottey won to capture the IBF welterweight title. Goossen told Smith that a fight against either is not good for the sport.

"It certainly does make things easier for him, but it does nothing good for the sport," said Dan Goossen, Williams' promoter. "It's his prerogative. But we shouldn't let our personal greed dictate the sport. Paul Williams can certainly fight someone else on HBO, but it won't be as lucrative and it won't be as big a match for the fans."

If Williams is unable to land Margarito, Goossen says that he will probably get his mandatory defense out the way by facing Michael Jennings.

The only thing that wins fights for Williams is his height. He drains himself down so he can beat up on guys half his size, I'm not impressed with him and never will be.

                  And Margarito doesn't??????

He is even less skilled then Williams and depends on that strength advantage over guys at 147. Put him in with legitimate 154 pounders or 160 and that chin won't be as strong as it has been. Nor will his pressure attack be as effective.

Ummm and you think Margarito is a natural Welterweight???? you think at 5'11 he walks around at 147lbs??? And the only reason he won was because he was bigger then cotto he didnt beat him with his boxing skill. Also with the exception of Cintron, Margarito has trouble with people his own size. He beats up smaller guys but has alot of trouble with guys his own size.. Cotto destroys guys his own size.. thats a fact.

I didn't mention anything to do with Margarito.
