Who Do you respect more Mayweather or Margarito?!

Their fighting styles are different. I would lose respect for Mayweather if he ALWAYS went toe to toe and fought like Margarito. He'd be an idiot. It's not to his advantage. He has WAY too much skill to be rather one-dimensional. He is a stick and move fighter. There isn't anything wrong with being defensive. You just have to throw punches, score and have a killer instinct when you got the guy hurt.

It's Mayweathers fault, all of a sudden, that he's probably in a division that's 7 pounds north of where he should be? He's fighting bigger guys. Standing toe to toe wouldn't be respectable. It would be ******. I don't respect idiotic people. Especially when they know better. And if it's one thing Mayweather knows, it's what to do in that ring.

Margarito may be more exciting to watch, but Mayweather is fun to watch if you like to see the small, intricate details of the sweet science. And if the 140 pound division was the hot spot, he'd have a couple more stoppages and be even more fun to watch. He followed the money and while I do respect that, I think it does tamper with his legacy a tad. Nonetheless, it's his decision. Nonetheless, it's not like he fought bums ALL THE TIME.

I don't dislike Margarito, either. Got thrown in with the wolves, came out of it, had a rollercoaster career and is now on top of the welterweight world. Good for him. Might his style affect the way he lives his life AFTER boxing? Perhaps, but he's doing something that he loves. He's enjoying life and he's making money to support his family. Not to mention that he's thrilling fans and having a nice little career for himself.

Point is, you can appreciate both for different reasons. They aren't splitting the purse with you. No need to pick sides.

Let's use common sense kid.

Aren't the sweet science really sweet if you test it against real challenges like a Cotto, Margarito, Williams, etc. instead of a Judah, Baldo and a shot DLH?
