I agree with kaykay. Cotto wanted out of that one bad. He was looking at his corner like get me out of here, please. I felt sorry for him, but he's just not the great fighter he's been made out to be by his moronic fans on here. He fell apart at the end and when things weren't going his way he kind of bowed out.

It's called knowing when you need a breather. Cotto's corner saw the body signals and stopped the fight. Good, no use in getting your life beat out of you. Cotto lives to fight another day.
Hey remember we had some exchanges a while back about Margarito's quality and you said you weren't convinced he was anything above an ordinary fighter. You're very level headed so it was hard for me to let that one go, but can you admit that he's at least somewhat special, even if it's becuase he has a great set of chin and balls?

I honestly swear some people want to see people get the life beat out of them on here. Anything else to them is quitting.

        It's really sickening.

He never quit. the writing was on the wall and Cotto's corner stopped it. He never explicitly quit that fight, be it verbally or by clearly gesturing. Cotto fought until the bitter end.

and ohhh was it ever bitter, buddy. he didn't want to stick around for anybody at the end. it's understandable. when you're billed as the guy to beat Mayweather and get your ass beat by a guy with 5 losses and zero boxing ability, that's gotta be a hard pill to swallow. greatness just left and Cotto wasn't on the plane

The first knee he took was for a breather; the second he wasn't even under fire. That was surrender.

I'm not saying he's a "coward" or anything ****** like that, but it was a heartbreaking moment to see him mentally crack.

David Diaz after his fight against pacman.
Cotto was class but the man was emotional he had to leave I would be tearing up as well after a loss like that.
cotto is a cool dude either way but tell him to stop kissing his son on the lips and his kids to stop making out its gross.
