Arum: "Now We Know Why Floyd Avoided Margarito"

Bob Arum of Top Rank may have been the second-biggest winner on Saturday night. He holds the promotional rights to the newly crowned WBA welterweight champion Antonio Margarito, and he is still the promoter of record for Miguel Cotto. Coming into the fight on Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Arum stood in a situation where he couldn't lose because regardless of the winner - he had both guys. [details]

No, no... you got that wrong. He retired because of Cotto and ducked Margarito. But if you take it like it is... Floyd probably ducked and retired because of every fighter Bob Arum has on his stable *loooooooooooooooooooooooool*

I hope Margarito gets some more big fights though

you guys do realize that the more he hypes up margarito as a "beast" the less damaging this loss is to cotto right?

it was a close fight 'til the end. the better he makes margarito look the better cotto looks as well.
