I didn't say Margarito would win, I said this fight would be similar in that the relentless pressure and outrageous number of punches is difficult to beat in a defensive mind set, ask Cotto. Mayweather is master of defense but you need offense to score against a fighter like Margarito. He can't be out hustled, he can be out boxed for periods of time but it is obvious that he always comes on late, grows stronger as the fight goes on. Margarito puts so much pressure that it looks like he is physically running, PBF looks so bad with his high output 60 punch round. We both know that PBF can't trade. It is an interesting fight because of how Margarito fights, the more skilled fighter doesn't always win.

The difference would be Mayweather's defense. I can't see Mayweather throwing as much as Cotto but I would expect him to pick his shots and land a enough clean punches and do a better job defensively, similar to how he fought Baldomir. This would be enough for a win.

I agree, and he would go to Margs body. Baldy out weighed Floyd by 20 lbs. Margs won't be weighing 20 lbs more than Floyd.
