yes, lets blame the winner for something he is pre-genetically dispositioned to...smh
thats like saying the only reason mike tyson ever lost a fight is because hes shorter than most, if not all the heavyweights hes fought-that statement, and yours are equally ignorant.
he's a HUGE welterweight. It came down to the fact that he's a HUGE welterweight that should be fighting at 154. Cotto is a smaller welterweight. Margarito being the size he is is able to take alot more punishment then someone Cottos size could take. Cotto was doing his thing and boxing really good but it came down to Margarito imposing his size and strength on the smaller Cotto. Just look how much trouble Margarito had with big welterweights in Clottey and Williams. But hey i have to give Margarito his props he went and beat Cotto. I actually thought Cotto was gonna win but i was obviously wrong lol. Still I think the size difference had ALOT to do with him winning.
Sour g****s anyone?
Hmmm slight size advantage vs the best welterweight in the world!? lol
Miguel Cotto just got beat up. Sucks that it gets to be Margarito that got to do it, but everyone should've known that Cotto's 1st loss would be a brutal ko/tko by someone stronger than he is. Zab and everyone else should take note on what you're supposed to do to a Miguel Cotto.
I disagree. Looked at IronBoy vs. Cazeres. CAZERES IS HUGE. The taller, bigger, stronger fighter got completely outboxed for 12 rounds. There is no excuse, Cotto did not had what was needed to outbox Margarito for 12 rounds. Cotto ran out of gas. Just like he almost did agisnt Mosley.
My question will remain though... why he negelcted the body shots??? Tony's chin is as tough as they come.
Margarito won this fight because of his determination to go after Cotto. He pressed the fight even though he took some hard shots. Cotto seemed very tentative in his execution. He didn't look like he was mentally into this fight. Although he had the crisper punches, he could not deliver the heavy body shots to slow down Margarito. If they have a rematch, maybe Cott will think about pressing the action a little more.
