Of course he cAn and will bounce back, just like Margarito did from his 5 losses and the rest of the great champions out there that have a loss on their record.
With minor adjustments he will beat Margarito in a second fight. There will be one.....maybe not right away but there will be one!

Please give me recent examples of guys who took such a devastating beating, and were able to make it back to the top.

Here are a few examples of guys who did NOT: Vargas, Lacy, Meldrick. Hell, you might even say that Hamed was emotionally ruined, if not physically.

My opinion is that Migs won't be the same. And in a rematch, he gets stopped sooner.

You may be correct, I doubt it, but I think this fight was comparable to the Vazquez Marquez bouts. Both guys took a lot of damage but both seemed to retain their skills and courage. I dont see Cotto wilting because of one tough fight. Mentally he's a tough cookie. Now whether or not he can win a rematch with Margarito and overcome those mental demons is a much more debatable subject but there is only one Antonio Margarito. Margarito's one tough son of a ***** who can take your best shots and stick to you like peanut butter on white bread. There should be no doubt he is a serious pressure cooker and if you cant punch hard enough or move well enough for the whole fight to keep him off of you your gonna get pounded.

I don't see why not. He was doing a very impressive job in his fights before margarito...just because margarito beat him doesn't mean it's all over. I even think he has potential to beat margarito in a rematch if he can implement the same strategy with a couple changes to preserve stamina and throw marg off his game.
