Jeff only wanted to fight the best and if it wasn't for him Calzaghe may not be as popular as he is to date, no he WOULDN'T BE period. Lacy, like Tyson hit his prime years early and that's the only times I like to remember him, pre Calzaghe.

in fairness, he's looked like a shadow of a man since the calzaghe fight. his heart just doesn't look in it anymore, and there's a fair case to be made that he lost 2 of his 3 last fights.

he's achieved a fair bit though, and was a world champion of course, but i think lacy will forever be the name mentioned when it comes to how a one-sided beating can change someone as a boxer for good.
