Funny how certain people are picking Toney to beat Haye

And 90% of these idiots are Klitschko fans, some of them pretty new to the sport.

It's funny how all these idiots are picking Toney to beat Haye, when he got beaten up by someone who cant box for **** in Peter twice, got a draw awarded in the Rahman fight (First one), then struggled to beat Danny Batchelder a virtual unknown who Toney was supposed to walk through.

Toney wont beat Haye and to make it close he will have to cheat/take steroids again. Toney was a great fighter in his time but now he is well past his best, anyone who took his second fight with Rahman seriously and their claim to why Toney can beat Haye should logoff from the forum, watch the whole fight and then comment on it.

Expect this from some noobs who regards the Rahman victory high, without even watching the fight or knowing in which circumstances the fight was won:

    "y0 but he KNoCKED da **** ouT oF RaHm4N DudE bY a 3rd r0unD TKOOO, Imag1n3 w0t h3 w0u1d d0 t0 Hay3"

Toney has great skills and is a challenge for anybody.
I don't know about a beatdown, but he has a good of chance as any to beat Haye.

In fact, I think it's the ideal test for Haye.

It's hard to see how much Toney has left, the Rahman fight didn't answer many questions, the only improvement I could see in those 3 rounds was better head movement but Rahman was still able to give him problems with the jab and grazed Toney a few times with right hands, Rahman looked pretty slow so if Haye can carry his speed up, I'm not sure if Toney could handle it at this point, it'd be interesting to see though.

I would attribute that to the fact that Toney is a veteran who has been around and proven to be very durable and a ***** to beat even when the odds are against him, and the fact that Haye hasn't really seen the top tier of fighters and is testing a new division. As the previous poster noted Toney might be the perfect test, and I personally expect him to pass, but I would not be so sure of it.

BUT, there are a lot of biased posters around now who consider nothing beyond an obsession to a fighter or nationality and made their choice solely based on that agenda.

            He can do it!
Haye is rolling high right now and might overlook him ya never know.
Either way Toney should give him one of his hardest fights so far.

Yeah Rahman is one of those guys who can be complete garbage in some fights.

I honestly think he's been fading for years now.
His right hand and heavy jab just don't have the sizzle they did before.

I still think Toney would be a good test for Haye at this point. It would be a good win on name alone.

I agree, Rahman is an erratic fighter.

Rahman is over the hill I think, his punches don't have the same speed and snap they used to.

Toney would definitely be a good first fight for Haye, even at this point, his experience and durability would make Haye work for the victory.

I dont think Toney is a top 10 HW right now. In the Rahman fight, you could notice Toney was slower and was getting hit more often by the even slower Rahman, Haye is a quicker fighter and more dynamic fighter. I think a better fight for Haye at this stage would be Chris Arreola or Sultan Ibragimov for a second HW fight who are both Top 10 HW's right now and not shot. Even if Haye wins he is in a lose-lose situation and people will question his skills as Toney is not the same fighter he once was. Even Danny Williams can pose more challenge at this stage than someone who ALMOST beat Danny Batchelder and got a draw with a fighter Maskaev KTFO in his next fight.

                    (was supposed to quote 2501

I see your point, but some of us have a rational explanation, others just have an agenda they have to keep in line with (nationality, hate for cotto, love for Floyd etc.)
