Nah, it's actually a famous line from a movie "A dingo ate my baby!". But the government actually did hunt down rabbits of all animals, believe it or not. Rabbits wreaked havoc along the countryside by eating all of the vegetation and the government had to install a "rabbit proof fence" that is supposedly visible from space. So the Australian enemy #1 is....

Congratulations on the eastern Europeans dominating now, but I hope that the new talent Tunney always talks about can reignite the division like in the 60’80 and 90’s. I have a lot of eastern Europeans friends especially Bosnians, Serbians and Albanians. I am notice that a lot of my friends are naturally big and tall and do variety a lot. They sometimes do lack speed but there size makes up for it in Soccer. I was wondering if anyone else can tell what countries are usually considered Eastern Europeans.Comment

The interesting thing about the whole Russian/Eastern European invasion, is that they are still just starting to get their stuff together in the pro division.
Russia is #2 in the amateur world behind Cuba, & it's those 2 above the rest by a fair margin.
Three of the other big powerhouses are the Ukraine, Uzbekistan, & Kazakhstan, & some of the smaller places tend to do OK as well..
From what I gather, only in the last few years are reasonably big local promotors starting to emerge & promote regular high level shows, as well as really look to develop local talent on a regular basis.
A lot of the big names - the Klitchko's, Chagaev, Dzinziruk, etc., were top up & coming fighters the big German promotors grabbed up.
Now that the local promotors are starting to get into gear (although they've still got a long way to go), you are going to be seeing a lot more of these guys at the top level right across the weight divisions.
For me as a spectator, & I think for boxing as a whole, this is very good.
Most of these fighters are very tough & very well schooled, & the more competion, the better.Comment
