has the hype asked the impossible?

the new Batman movie got more hype for a movie than I can ever recall. it reached a level of hype the movie had no chance of meeting. it came close, but it wasn't this amazing movie it was supposed to be. will this fight suffer the same fate? you can only hear "this is going to be the fight of the year" so many times before you want to believe it and even EXPECT it.

I remember Castillo-Corrales was hyped but not nearly to this extent. does anybody out there really think this fight has any chance of mirroring that fight? not saying it couldn't, but I think the fight may have reached unmeetable expectations at this point.

then again, Vazquez-Marquez was heavily hyped by people in the know and that was on its way to becoming a great, great fight until the nose stoppage. the 2nd and 3rd meetings certainly met expectations.

that's what I'm saying. what if Cotto boxes like he should do? every non-boxing fan has been hearing on ESPN and everywhere that if you watch one fight, it must be this one. I've always thought this would be a really good fight, but I expect Cotto to box and I think he can make it easy on himself if he does.

lol, so if cotto wins, are you going to use the excuse he ran like a coward?

I honestly expected really great fights for Castillo-Corrales I, Ward-Gatti I and Vazquez-Marquez I, but I don't see this fight the same way. I think Cotto is too good of a boxer to let it be the amazing war his fight with Torres turned out to be.

not to be mean, but isn't that always the excuse Mexican fight fans use?

i agree with you, i think cotto will box, i cant see him losing if he boxes but if he decides to go toe to to, he has a greater chance of losing

i dont think cotto can stay away from margarito for 12 whole rounds. eventually he will have to taste margaritos power because cotto doesnt have the size to keep margarito away all night.

is this the most hatenist muth****a on this site? it almost seems as if you're jealous of the kind of anticipation and hype this fight got. the difference between this fight and Mayweather/DLH is that this one for sure will have more action than that one. live with it girlfriend.

and The Dark Knight meet and even exceeded expectations. you're just a sad cry baby.
