Those fans who only follow one fighter usually go after that fighter loses, but those who follow one nationality always find another fighter to obsess over. I'm a huge Margarito fan but I understand his limitations, a loss here against the best welterweight in the world will not make me leave or say he was a bum because he clearly isn't. I just hope if he does win he gets the recognition he deserves and people can look beyond the obsessive fans to what the actual fighter can do inside the ring.

Maybe I'm just nostalgic but I remember these forums were a lot better in the first year I was here. I wouldn't post too much at first, mostly because I hadn't seen as much as some of the other posters (usually with regards to older fights), now I don't post as much because using logic or being rational has gone out of style and been replaced with nationalism. Not all posters are garbage, but many are.

I understand a guy supporting his fighter, but this shows you have no respect for the fight game.

Margarito has given fight fans something to get excited about, as has Cotto, so don't talk like this dude. Both these guys deserve our respect, for giving us 100% each time they enter the ring.
