The Whitaker fight was questionable and so was the Trinidad and Mosley fights.

Bernard Hopkins and Shane Mosley 1 and Mayweather were his only real losses in my eyes.

And William Joppy beat Roberto Duran.

Seriously, can we keep some of these wins in its proper context? These boxrec warriors drive me crazy.

So I guess everything he's done before that goes right out the window?? LOL

Tell me besides the Hopkins fight where Oscar has been beaten down and embarassed in the ring??? Tell me ONE instance. Even the Feliz Sturm fight where he was out of shape because he didn't train, he still fought a close fight.

People, love him or hate him, know that watching an Oscar fight is entertaining because he fights the best and win or lose, makes it a close fight.

Very few if any can say that, especially at the age of 36.

Gimme a break, he lost the Sturm fight. You failed to mention that in your initial post.

Oscar De La Hoya is a Hall of Famer. But all this BS about he never ducked anybody comes from you Johnny Come Lately's that probably started watching him around the time he fought Vargas. Remember Vargas? Yeah, the guy Oscar vowed he'd never fight until he saw Trinidad beat the **** out of him. Because the Oscar I remember disgusted hardcore fans with his antics until he finally fought Quartey. A rusty Quartey, of course. Let's not fo overboard.

And now he's on his second straight lightweight. Yeah, let's all get up and applaud.
