Feel OK bro, I was just stating the facts. I know for myself Cotto is WW best after Mayweather retirement. If Maragrito wins, makes the situation very confusing in who is the best WW fighter after Mayweather retirement.

      This is more credible.

The ring belt is a PIECE OF TRASH now.

As long as one of the promoters or other institutions who has a vested interest in boxing holds ownership of the Ring magazine.. the Ring belt has less value than the **** my dog spews every evening.

i personally dont think that would make Margo the best WW even if he gets the belt. in MY own personal opinion, as long as Paul Williams is racking up wins against top 10 welters division and Margo doesnt avenge his loss to him, he wont be the best. just the way I feel and i know ima get **** for it.

If Margo wins it sets up a good rematch with P. Williams for the best WW. If Cotto wins... well thats obvious.

No it won't be for the belt. A vacant belt may only be awarded in a championship fight between the number one and number two or in some cases the number one and the number three. In this situation if the rankings do not change then as Cotto had already beaten the number two in Mosley then a fight between Cotto and Williams (number three) would be for the Ring belt.

Cotto did beat the current number two but there was a champion at the time.

The Ring's editorial policies have not changed since being bought out by Golden Boy. As for the Casamayor incident the Ring awarded their belt to the official winner of the fight regardless of how controversial the result was. I personally can't believe that anybody could think that a championship should be awarded based on who the sanctioning body thought should have won. It's just not a good idea. Those ****ers can't even keep honest rankings!

That ring belt means alot more than any sanctioning body, and no, the fans dont know who the best welterweights are, boxing fans do, but the average fan /casual fan doesnt have a ****ing clue unless they examine the rankings up and down. The Rings policy on who can fight for their belt has been the same since in inception practically, and they take no sanctioning fees along with it, i have no idea why you are ripping them like they are some greedy sanctioning body.
