Joe had better watch for those uppercuts off the ropes from Roy, Joe throws wide looping punches and Roys handspeed is still no joke. If Joe can take the punches and keep coming forward he'll be ok, but Hopkins knocked him down with a punch he didnt see coming and Roy is WAY faster than Hopkins.

Roy is still quick. As quick if not quicker than Calzaghe AND he throws with more power. I don't think Calzaghe can hurt him so he doesn't need to worry so much about the punches, just the workrate. The fight could easily be stopped late by Roy going against the ropes or in the corner as he likes to do. Or Roy could pot shot his way to victory.

I feel Roy wins by SD in this one. Too close for comfort really, but I definately feel Roy is coming into this fight hungry and wanting to redeem himself. What better way to jump pack on top then fighting of the the most dominating and undefeated fighters of his time. Granted, alot of people don't feel this way about Calzaghe, but either way you slice it, he is undefeated... hand picked opponents or not. This would be huge for Roy and offer alot of things for his next few fights. We may yet see one more night of the old Roy. I personally am looking forward to it.

          Roy is shot to pieces,

i watched some of his fights this week, hall, telesco fights that was prime roy and he was great

and then i said i would watch Johnson and Tarver 3, he was defiantely not the same fighter, in the third tarver fight he was celebrating in losing a wide ud,

its sad when some people dont admit he is shot,

Well. No one believed Ali could come back from not boxing for three years and be as good as he was. No one believed Foreman would win the HW Championship of the world at 40+ yrs old. He was shot, fat, slow... he can't do it, right? But he did.

Give the guy a break. No one is as good as they were back in their prime, however a 'shot' RJJ is still outclasses 99% of the fighters he fights. Give him a ****ing chance.

Actually. No, don't give him a chace. Hate on him and say he's shot. It'll make his victory that much more sweet. Because you know Roy is hearing the same BS some people are spewing here about him all over the place. Be fun to prove all the naysayers wrong, huh? Just like Ali and Foreman...

At 40 you don't grow a chin or stamina.
Unless you have ripped fuel of course.

By punching him in the face...?

J/K.. I too wonder what Jones will do at this point to beat Joe. I don't think he will be able to negate Joe's workrate.
