Tarver and Johnson already have shown in this decade, Roy Jones is not invincible.
Heads are simply in denial.Comment

You don't need a chin against Calzaghe. You need a good defense, as Hopkins showed us. And since Roy has adopted the Winky stlye stand up with your hands around your face defense... I think he'll not only be able to see Calzaghes punches coming, but counter effectively.
I'll bet all my points Roy wins this fight. Not trying to nuthug here, but I think Roy has one more left. Is it bad to think one of your favorite fighters can do it one more time? It's been done time and time again and let's face it, Calzaghe is not the best Roy has ever faced, it's the other way around. Yes, even a shot Roy.Comment

roy was shot but recently he hs enjoyed a bit of a renaissance. i watched him in the buid up to the tito fight and i watched the fight as well - alot of the old swagger and skills and confidence was back with roy, he wasn't quite as he looked in his prime but then again who is? yes i acknowledge that tito is just a blown up welterweight but we'r talking about RJJ not tito and RJJ looked to be in pretty good nick.
whats more is the chacrter of RJJ, he isnt someone afraid of taking risks or wanting to prove himself - he lost to tarver but how mnay times has he gone back to try and prove himself! he won tarver the first time around and then fought him again because he wanted to make the victory look beter!!! how many ighters would do that?! most fights 'thank **** i got that guy out of the way' then they proceed to go for some easy fights.
RJJ wants to unify the LHW titles once more and if he does he may even be ackowleged as the p4p contender again.
in trems of straegy roy can work from the ropes as long as he is clever and doesn't spend too long on there - he has to use his speed gets his punches off and then spin off. out of all the fighters in the SM/LHW divisions there are only a select few who can maybe beat the current calzaghe - kessler, RJJ and maybe the winner of dawson/tarver.

Actually, fighters do it all the time. Jones having a rematch is nothing special.Comment
