..What's The Best Career Plan For RICKY HATTON?...

What do you think Ricky Hatton should do with the remaining three fights of his career?

He has Malignaggi coming up this year, then two more years coming up in 2009. Provided he gets by Paulie, what do you think he shoudl do with the rest of his career? Hist last two fights....

Sorry about the poll saying multiple choice, it's not. Just vote for you you want most.

After Malignaggi he should fight Pacquiao (depending of course on whether Pac gets Oscar, and then gets past him). If he can't get that someone like Tim Bradley is very beatable, but not such a big scalp. So it depends...whats the best career plan, in terms of what adds to his legacy? Or keeps him from getting beat, wins him titles and doesn't shimmer too much on his record? If its the former he should go after one of the welters; there's not much action at 140 right now save for Holt, Witter looks dried up. Hatton-Cotto would be massive, and a massacre to boot. Hatton-Judah, Hatton-Mosley, hell Hatton-Berto. They're all interesting, they're all moneymakers, they're all big fights. But Hatton might well be 0-2 at 147 and he's looked far less than stellar each time. So maybe he should stay at 140 and snack on any of the lightweights jumping up; a Juan Diaz or Joan Guzman for example. Guzman seems to enjoy climbing the weights and he's game as hell. But I think Nates gonna beat that outta him

I doubt he will have any problems getting by Paulie, when he is done he will have the IBF and IBO belts wonts he?
He should then take on one of the other champs, Bradley for instance and try to take a 3rd title and then sign off with a superfight against Pacman.

He should get credit for beating Pac even if Pac's movin up.

I think Pacquiao is the way to go for him, no one would bring him that kind of money apart from DLH but I'm not sure how much credit people would give him for a win over Pacquiao.

If not, unify 140, he shouldn't go up to 147 again.

LOL, apart from my insane, probably unjustifiable hatred of Paulie its the fact that IMO Paulie will completely fade under the pressure. Its a shame that the fight is not happening in New York because Paulie would inevitably get drawn into a war and that would suit Hatton just fine.
As for nearly getting stopped against Lazcano, i totally disagree mate, yes he took 2 great left hands but he was only stunned momentarily, at no point did he look like he was about to be stopped.
The Mayweather fight would take any boxer some getting over and Lazcano, whilst being at a decent level, was always going to be his "easy" comeback fight. He won a landslide UD, shame he couldnt get the KO.
Against Paulie he should be more hyped as its for his old title, the one he took from Kostya Tszyu. Paulie has looked far less than convincing in several of his last fights and i just dont think he is in Hattons class.
