What happened to Adrian Diaconu fighting Glen Johnson?

The WBC made the decision, not Diaconu nor his management. I personally would have preferred Johnson, since he would be the better name on Diaconu's resume, although I don't think either really deserved it.

Thanks for confirming it and i now i understand. What i can't understand is that Branco has not beaten a name opponent and thats how fighters get the mandory spot. By fighting other ranked opponents.

The WBC suck for that. After the way he fought against Dawson I think he deserves a shot.

Nobody wants to see Diaconu-Branco. I hope they lose money on that farce.

Johnson has the much better chance, he deserves the title shot more and is certainly a bigger threat to Diaconu. Branco is not ranked in the top10 and i doubt hes even in the top 15.
