All Time Greats should never accept Defeat

i just rewatched Jones-Tarver 3 so i thought id write this thread,

Roy Jones fought like a coward, he came into the fight not to get knocked out, he knew he was losing yet he didnt change anything throughout the fight, he didnt go for it like a true great should do, he was content with losing just aslong as he didnt get knocked out, a true great and a champion should never give up, never accept defeat, Roy did,

when a great fighter is happy in a convincing defeat you know they should never fight again

yes i dont dispute that but in the third tarver fight he just didnt try, he accepted defeat, he was happy to lose a wide decision, a real great would never accept defeat like that, it was sheer cowardice

that should have been it for him

If you get beat to the point of riskin serious injury, it's understandable to check out of a fight for a chance to come back and fight anotha day. it's pointless to come into a fight wit no intention of winnin, even if you are gettin a ****load of $. It was heartbreakin watchin RJ walk around the ring clowin and not doin **** for most of the 3rd Tarver fight. Especially since he was easily gettin the best of it whenever he actually decided to throw. That was ****ed up.
