That's not a bad idea for Cotto. He should start a clothing company where every shirt is just one solid color. Nothing flashy about them but they are extremely durable.

Its great to see a fighter (cotto) who is going to be well off when HE is ready to retire rather than being broke and having to fight on just for a pay check.

Its one of the saddest things in boxing to me when a fighter is way past his prime and fighting on his name just to get a few good paychecks because they spent all their money earlier in their career...not saying cotto is old or past his prime but its good that it wont have to be that way down the line.

          Cotto is what? 28?

i have a hard time believing in the next 2-3 years he will retire.

in my opinion he could cement his legacy in the next 2-3 years if he fights the right opponents...

He's cleaned out the welterweights...if he beats margarito then all thats left really is williams...and from there he can fight the catch weight fights or the fights from the big names coming up from 140 or down from 154...

who falls under that categorey? ricky hatton (his career is near its end so he could move up again to 147 to fight cotto if the price is right in my opinion regardless of what he says), manny pacquiao (pacquiao comes in at 145-148 on fight night lately so its not an unreasonable idea), maybe oscar de la hoya.

so if cotto gets past margarito he pretty much runs the table in boxing in my opinion...at least at welter and at 154/140.

if he fights 2-3 years and fights 3 times a year we're looking at 6-9 fights.

what i'd like to see is:
          cotto versus:
          1. margarito (thats coming up)
          2. oscar de la hoya
          3. ricky hatton
          4. manny pacquiao
          5. paul williams
          6. joshua clottey

(assuming he only fights for 2 years)

i think that would work wonders for his legacy.

Thats not necessary.Someone has already posted things on the forum.

I'm just trying to quantify things here,8 gas stations means different things to different places and people.eg if you are in a small town with 1000 cars a gas station wont mean much but if you are in a city with millions of cars that could mean so much.Same thing with property, you could have a 14 storey building in a farm somewhere or in a big city they are two different things.

I'm not belittling Cotto but understand business. We dont talk about donkeys and cows anymore, monetary values are assigned to assets so basically this article is hogwash,

I hear that Felix Trinidad also invested in Real Estate in P.R, and is very well off.

Hell yes he does, I'll be honest I didn't become a fan of margarito until I beat the **** out of Cintron for the second time. Cintron established himself as a wrecking machine but was left in ruins after the tornado came to town. When Floyd turned down the 8million dollars I knew then that Margarito must be the truth!!

With property prices taking a nose dive he might be feeling the pinch
