He is usually wrong on the fights where there is an underdog. This fight there is really no underdog. If you line up their advantages more would go to cotto. So you can really say that if there was a slight underdog it would be Margarito. So if Teddy picked the underdog he would be picking Margarito, which would mean margarito would loose.

Here are a look at the advantages.
Punching power: Cotto by a single punch, margarito through accumulation
Boxing Ability: Cotto by a pretty good margin.
Speed: Cotto.
Versatility: Cotto
Size: Margarito
Quality of opposition: Cotto
Chin: Margarito

I'm not a huge fan of either fighter. Dont really like Margarito for his mouth. Dont like Cotto for the fact that he seems like an ass to the public. So I made these calculations with no bias.

And I just dont see Margarito winning because of his size or chin. I dont see a knockout either. I think it will go 12 rounds with it going the way of Cotto by UD. Margarito has shown that he likes to turn to boxing more and be less careless when he is in with someone with power, and he cannot outbox Cotto.

I think the fight will be great but I really do not think it will be the toe to toe slugfest that everyone is expecting. They both know better than to get into that kind of fight.
