Thanks Silencers, I appreciate this... Shows confidence in Roy thinking he can definitely win... if he wasnt confident... paying more sanctioning fees wouldnt make any sense. ESPECIALLY FOR ROY

The titles mean pretty much nothing anyway. This is about ROy showing he can come back from the nightmare **** he endured and beat a top level elite fighter. That is what is important. The titles are a secondary consideration.Comment

Roy is a machine. He could probably make it if you gave him a week. From what Calzaghe has said recently over his problems making 168 I don't think he is going to go for it.

Jones is definitely confident of winning, he wouldn't be saying these things if he wasn't.

Roy Jones Jr: "Calzaghe Fight, Two Titles on November 8"
“It sounds to me as though Joe has a normal and usual injury. He had shown some concern recently about his hand not being ready. I still wanted to move forward with the September date, since HBO had already laid out the red carpet for a pay-per-view success when we took the De La Hoya-Mayweather date. But I don’t want him to be no less that his best – so if this is what it takes for that, then so be it.” [details]Comment

Exactly 5 years after the first Tarver fight and 12 years since Roy fought at super middleweight. Roy would become super middleweight and light heavyweight champ again, 2 months shy of turning 40. Then hopefully retire on top, that would certainly add a great amount to his legacy.Comment
