Antonio Margarito: Worse Title Belt Reign

Margarito had the WBO belt from February 8th, 2003 until December 2nd, 2006, almost 4 years. During that defense he faced Danny Perez, Andrew Lewis, Hercues Kyvelos, Sebastian Lujan, Kermit Cintron, Manuel Gomez, and Joshua Clottey. Really two decent names, trust me I have nothing against Margarito, but people like Floyd caught flack for not facing the best at 147, even though he was facing the best a 154 and 140. Just something to chew on.

Floyd made one stinking title defense at 147. And who did he fight at 140 who was anywhere near the best? You surely don't mean Hatton, who was a welterweight when they fought.

Scott, you are conveniently forgetting his one fight in 2004, against Chop-CHOP Corley. 1 fight that year.

That made me think of Zoo's first fight against Mitchell. Mitchell cried he was hurt, then Zoo waited and fought him again and beat the holy hell out of him a second time after being off for a long time.

Mitchell has become the Carl Daniels of the lower divisions.

              sharmba mitchell was scared.

the knee thing was his excuse. they brought it up right before the fight so he has a ready made excuse when he lost.

funny how the more kostya's right hand landed......the more his knees started to bother him.

i have the old ring magazine when the writer pointed it out and was laughing at sharmba.

i'm gonna look for it online...... it was funny.

Say wat you will but Margarito stalked Floyd for a fight. So, at the end of the day, Margarito was ready to fight FLoyd. Floyd said "no mas."
