risk - manny doesn't get that money and may never get the equal amount as that in his next 3-4 fights.

reward - he won't be damaged severely by oscar and can continue to campaign at his current division.

only manny can decide which decision is right for him. none of our opinions really matter.

Great point. I love manny with a passion but there is NO WAY he'll be able to beat a boxer in HIS CALIBER- 6 inches taller and much more powerful. He just fought at 135, how the heck will he beat Oscar at 147 lbs! IMPOSSIBLE but ....DEFINITELY VERY FRUITFUL. I say, take it manny and retire with almost a billion pesos in the bank. Just make sure you come out of the fight alive and NOT brain damaged! But manny will fight NO DOUBT. It will be a great fight! But manny will NOT WIN.

DH will get no credit if he wins, and if he loses he'd be flamed so bad he'd have to retire whether he wanted to or not. If Pac somehow won, he'd be on anotha level, and if he lost no one would be surprised, but he could be badly damaged physically. Either way both guys get a ****load of $. I don't wanna see this fight, but it's gainin momentum.

The Writer does have a point

Name a Flyweight in Boxing history who ever went all the way up in weight like pacman and be dominate let alone seriously challenge a 147 pound ex champion?

Oscar will come in 165 pounds while pacman will be 145 one taste of oscars left hook would give pacman brain damage if jmm could wobble pacman imagine oscars left?

I will go for Manny, this fight is not impossible. Just because DLH is 4 inches taller and bigger he will surely win... nahh... Manny's speed will prevail here^ go go go Manny! This will be one of the best fight ever^

If DeLaHoya wants to go out with some REAL props.....he will face the winner of Cotto/Margarito!!....and not just if it's Cotto either!!...the WINNER....REGARDLESS OF WHO IT IS.....then win, lose, or draw.....people will always remember him as a guy who went out on a ballzy fight.....Pacquaio who I LOVE..would be a joke.....WAY TOO SMALL

De La **** is a ***** always trying to fight smaller opponents ,,,,,and PacMan problably could beat his ass but this is a BAD move IMO for boxing,DLH and PAC-MAN. Question, what happened to the winner of Margo/Cotto? Answer , Cotto would rearrange his ribcage while Margo would completely overwhelm ODH in to retirement. What happened tO a possible rematch with Trinidad? Answer: DLH cant run again for 12rds wich means that he would have to trade with Tito wich means a BRUTAL KO back into retirement.Winky would win against DLH in a borefest.Hatton wont be ready til 2009.....damn DLH just go away mfka nobody wants you around ANYMORE (well if it wasnt for the $$$ at least).I cant wait til this hasbeen(actually neverbeen) goes away along with PBF!!

Cliff Rold couldnt have said it any better...these days most of what u see in the mainstream media about boxing revolves around the negative **** that happens...for example just recently James Toney's win over Rahman or an even better example would be Humberto Soto losing by DQ against Lorenzo...that **** was the headline on yahoo.com before they said anything about Pac beating Diaz...so Pac beating ODLH would be a David vs. Goliath type matchup for damn sure and if David(Pacquiao) wins it would be a victory that transcends the sport...But as much of a pacman as I am a win against Oscar is not happening I am sorry, Pac is too small.

PacMan vs Pickin'-on smaller-fighters de la Hoya

I would love to see Oscar get his butt kicked in a big way. Oscar is not in--or ever will be in--the league of ATGs. After all, it's not how much money a fighter was paid that we remember, it's the performances when fighting the absolute best of your of their era. Oscar may be rich, but he is a joke.
