People who think he slaps and hits like a girl...watch the Mikkel Kessler fight and come back. If you watch that fight and still think like this, go **** yourself and don't watch boxing.

Its common knowledge that Joe slaps , not every punch but quite a few , he hurt Kessler with a body shot not a head shot and that can be more about precision and timing than power , Joe is a volume puncher and gets his tkos by overwhelming or swarming his opponents , he has only 2 KOs in his whole career which says loud and clear Joe is not a big puncher .

Really against Kessler? The guy whose biggest win was against a punching bag by the name of Andrade? Oh yeah, that Kessler. That's not impressive.

Kessler may have a questionable resume but he is without doubt the hardest puncher at 168. If you have ever seen the guy fight you will know he has great power and an iron chin. Calzaghe took his best shots and managed to adapt and outwork Kessler and actually hurt him a fair few times himself. I am not a Joe Calzaghe fan however I am not ****** enough to delude myself into thinking he has fought for well over a decade as an undefeated fighter, totally unified a division and held two ring belts and yet is a complete bag of ****.

Quit explaining why I owned The Calzaghe Crew (that is a funny name, for a "funny" ass dude). Calz sucks, slaps, grabs, and takes plenty of shots to his face. What more could you ask for? Some girls dont even go that far.

You have to look at it like this. Calzaghe is going down as one of the best fighters ever in the UK. So if you or a undefeated champ and you hurt your wrist and knew that you wouldn't be a hundred percent against the likes of a Roy Jones Jr. he couldn't not only lose but get hurt. and calzaghe's age I think he is not trying to a a risk of not being a 100%.
