He beat Taylor in their rematch, they gave the nod to the younger man however.

And the only thing Calzaghe did to B-Hop, besides give him jailhouse flashbacks, was outwork him with B-Hop clearly landing the better cleaner punches. The B-Hop that beat Tarver would've easily beat Calzaghe.

And yes, his resume ****s on any other boxer in the sport in the past 3 years.

Ok then. Iran Barkley and George Chuvalo have two of the best resumes ever in that case.

Judah has a better one than Mayweather.

          Winky was 3
          Joe was 3-5

and now Pavlik is rated #7. Has anyone else fought 4 p4p fighters in a row?
I'm not sure if Tarver was or not when bhop beat him, but he was ranked top p4p 10 at some point (I know 2005 he was).

Also, another crazy thing about bhop is he's been ranked in the top 10 p4p for 9 consecutive years. That's pretty amazing imo

'Competition' would mean who was on your ledger. 'Resume' would imply that we are taking the results into account. Anyway Hopkins has great competition, a testament to the man really since he is so old and always makes it competitive. It's amazing.

Hopkins lost his 1st fight, which is quite irrelevant. Only RJ ever beat him decisively.

The fact that he lost nine or ten rounds. That usually seals the decision.

Why did he lose those rounds? He was unwilling to engage. He crawls into his protective shell and stops throwing punches whenever he faces someone active and skilled. He was stalked into every corner for the majority of that fight. A few solid counters every third round or so, all opn single shots and never powerful, don't win you a fight.

I don't see how it could've been different at any other time in their careers.

He didn't lose 9 or 10 rounds on any of the judges cards.

He's a 43 year old counter puncher, why would he engage?

Thats your opinion, but Calzaghe fought B-Hops fight. You can say Calzaghe "stalked him into every corner" or that B-Hop drew him in to counter punch. Since B-Hop wasn't running from Joe, but setting up pot shots, you can't say he was stalked, there was nothing for him to be afraid of after he dropped Joe in the first round with the same punch he was trying to land all night.

A few solid counters every third round or so, all opn single shots and never powerful, don't win you a fight.

Thats cool man, you don't like B-hop. Most people see that Hopkins had the ring generalship, that Calzaghe landed few flush shots, and was dropped from a stiff counter right which he tried to avoid the rest of the fight.

Calzaghe won 9 rounds on Giampa's card (116-11).

Appealing to Hop's norm is pointless.
