Dude come on, that's an exaggeration and I think you know it. There's always lots of to and throwing with fights, one min there off then poss on, it's nothing new. Arum said he wants the Calzaghe fight, Pavlik was willing. Joe has said he may fight on after Roy and is targetting Kelly if they both win.

Arum says fighting at 170 will help Kelly to fight Joe afterwards which would suite both fighters time and weight, wise. Take those factors out of it and there's a large chance the fight could be jeapordised. On weight, time, and risk of loss fronts alone if Pavlik doesn't face Joe after Nard, it becomes significantly less likely to happen.

this **** ain't going to happen.

There is two weight classes between them now. It's not really in Pavlik's best interests. It's only because the demand is so high. Doesn't actually make that much sense to either fighter.

It may have been an exaggeration but the truth wasn't stretched as far as some might think. Those were exact quotes, but certain intangibles like age and the will to fight coupled with the fact Pavlik has yet to clean his division out could cause the Calzaghe camp to look away and ride off in the sunset with his (0) intact

Why does Pavlik keep flip flopping to catchweights anyway.

Dude is too big for Middleweight.

Paul Williams is too big for Welter and Mikkle Kessler is a Light Heavy but that is boxing,a fighter will always boil down if he can to get an advantage where he can.Delahoya did it Leonard did it,so did Hearns.

true but it's not really to his advantage. I guess his star power is pretty high right now he might as well get involved. All the names are pretty much coming to the end of their careers. Bar Abraham and Kessler.

Arums always been eager to sign a fight ASAP with Calzaghe, and even recently said fighting Hops means Kelly would be close to weight for Joe immediately after wards. So Kelly's weight would be good, and Joe's, and the timing.

Joe's only mentioned one name as for a potential fight after Roy, and that's Kelly. It's unlikely he'll fight 2 more fights after Roy imo, theresno really any at SMW for him.

So the setting Calzaghe's set to make a Pavlik fight likely - it being at SMW after Roy.
The setting Arums has painted to make a Calzaghe fight likely - it agreeing and it being straight after Hopkins so soon, and he'd be near the wait without a loss.

All of these have been turned on their head by this guy saying Kelly has to go back down in weight to MW, fight there, then after 2 fights if he wants to go back up to SMW again to possibly fight Calzaghe.

By that time not only is Kelly quite possibly going to have a loss, Calzaghe might not want to fight another guy before him and not wait around. Conceiveably I can't think of anything worse this guy could have said, and could be doing, to jeapordise the Pavlik Calzaghe fight any more. He's taken the pro's for making it likely and binned em, and stuck some negatives in.
