JT forget about Lacy will you? JC didnt even get credit for beating Lacy. After JC dealt with him, people said Lacy was crap. So why does JT want him. It wont be an achievement by beating used goods.

The credit for that one flew out the window when Lacy was almost beat in his very next fight by a rebound , nobody-fighter. It also, had nothing to do with the Calzaghe loss either.

But we as fans dont care what JT wants from the fight. We just want a good fight and Lacy aint no man to give him it. Why would we pay to see Lacy be used as a punch bag? I dont know what issues has with Lacy, but he should use Froch to get comfortable at the weight.

Froch is much more unorthodox than Pavlik is, but he has a wider arsenal of shots which he can throw from unpredictable angles. Of course, this may work against him, because although both he and Pavlik are pretty slow, Kelly's ultra-orthodox method means he is not as exposed as Froch is after throwing a punch or combo.

As for what Lockett would do against Froch, I don't think he'd 'give him hell' because he wouldn't be able to stand up to Froch any more than he could to Pavlik, but I really don't know whether he'd do better or last a bit longer, because Froch remains something of an unknown quantity to me.

And Taylor/Lacy were on the 2000 U.S. Olympic team together. They were roommates and always knew they would meet up one day in their professional careers. That's what "issues" he has with Lacy.

And as for Froch talking trash about Taylor, remember Jermain fought Hopkins twice and had to listen to his mouth at many promotional appearances and press conferences. After going through that, Froch isn't going to faze him.

Fair response, but from what I saw in the only fight of him I have seen is that he is on the slow side, has a weak defense and winds up on his punches too much. I would love to see him fight some better names, but in my opinion he would not get past the first real test. It is fair to say that we really do not know yet. What it is not fair to say at this point is that he is anywhere close to Pavlik's level.

They were in the olympic team together, so that means they have to fight does it? That was years ago. Lacy isnt any good anymore. JT is established boxer and dont need to adjust to supermiddle weight against an untested fighter in Froch. Froch isnt no JC as far as im aware at this point.
Bottom line is who wants to see Lacy and Jt? I doubt many people want to. Befor JC whooped him i might have been interested. But the time has passed for Lacy and JT.
If after JT beats Froch, Jt still wants Lacy, then let him have his first defence against Lacy.
