HBO are also a major player in this fight, If They dont want taylor to take the fight then there is little Taylor/Dibella can do about it.

I feel really sorry for Froch who i would actually pick to beat taylor if the fight do happens but money talks in boxing.

mark these words, Taylor will KO Froch if they meet. Simple as that. Froch is too slow and telegraphs his punches too much. Lacy-Froch would be a blockbuster though.

I must admit that I disagree with every single prediction you ever make. I mean, its not impossible that Taylor beats Froch by KO, no-one knows how good Froch is, but I really don't think so. Anyway, its all good.

if the fight hapens ill take a little side bet with you that A) Taylor will NOT Ko Froch and B) Froch wins.

          Fancy it?

BTW Froch would walk through Lacy no problem.

DiBella's got to look out for his man's career. Froch is a risky fight as he is an unknown quantity at this point with a penchant for knocking guys (bums) out. Also not being a name in the U.S. doesn't help because if Taylor lost that would be three losses in a row, the last to a no-name guy from Europe that the general public has never heard of. Kiss HBO and million dollar paydays goodbye. It sucks but that is the business side of it.

I do feel bad for Froch but at the same time this seems to be the first time his manager has made any real attempt to get major U.S. exposure (where the money is), and he's trying to do it on the name of a guy who got knocked out by the last guy he fought. There are other guys out there Froch could have been building a name against; Lacy, Miranda, Pascal, Bika... maybe he's tried, I don't know, but it seems unreasonable to blame Taylor and Dibella for Froch's predicament given Taylor hasn't even fought at the SMW limit yet to adjust to the weight.

Call it a "gift-wrapped opportunity", but IMO Taylor has already been rushed along enough in his career. He could have benefited from a couple more fights prior to Hopkins, and from a few more mandatory defenses against lesser opposition to serve as tune-ups during his title reign. How many Gary Locketts did he fight? None. However he was matched against smaller, albeit talented guys who did him a disservice when it came time to fight a true middleweight again. Now he's being rushed along again, since this "gift" ranking by the WBC seems to have been done with their own interest in mind seeing as how Taylor would be the cash cow in their title fight.

All that said, as a fan I'd love to see the fight happen, and hopefully it will even if it's after a Taylor/Lacy fight.

Don't get carried away, Froch is about a quarter as good as Calzaghe and has achieved nothing in comparison, but he is a good SMW who deserves some sort of name fight now. I think it is absolutely laughable that Taylor, who has beaten Hopkins twice and has been ordered by the WBC to fight him is shying away from the fight. He is literally ducking a nobody, which is pathetic. That doesn't mean Froch couldn't beat him, I think he could, but for a supposed upper echelon ex-titlist who is still young to be afraid of a guy who's beaten nobody, especially when the fight would deliver the most prestigous alphabet belt is beyond pathetic to me. I don't say things like this too often, but this is one instance when US boxing should be very ashamed.
