I can understand why he shouldn't. Nobody really knows how good Froch is, probably even Froch doesn't.

I think he would. But still, it don't look like they want to fight him does it?

They know he is a dangerous oppenent. At this point all Lacy is, is a name. And the only reason he is remembered by most is for getting hiss ass whooped by Calzaghe

That's fair. But this is a guy who gave Winky a chance immediately after fighting Hopkins twice, then later rematched a guy who had knocked him unconscious in the ring. For all his flaws as a fighter Taylor has never been afraid of a fight.

im not so sure that Taylor would beat Froch myself, Froch has a lot to prove now and will be all guns blazing BUT he has the boxing skills and amatuer pedigree to back the power up.

You are right about Lacy though, he is nothing but a shadow since Joe whooped him.

To be honest it doesnt make marketing and business sense for jermaine to fight carl yet...carl has no name in america and doesnt have a following like hatton or calzaghe in england, unless u are a boxing fan you wouldn't know who carl froch was, even english fight fans aren't sure who he is.

That's not necessarily his fault cus he does want big fights but i don't think jermaine is gonna fight him until he makes some kinda decent name for himself in america, but who is out there for him to fight in the SMW division for him to gain exposure in america? apart from jermaine of course.

This is where the organizations come in handy: Taylor needs to become a titlist at 168, and he can't do that without taking on some of the Europeans who are not 'names' in the US market.

My view is that if Pavlik can beat Taylor then theoretically Froch can too, he appears to have most of what Pavlik has and is, if anything, a better boxer.

However, the point about the first Pavlik Taylor fight was that Pavlik was at the time quite unproven (though not as much as Froch) with lots of question marks about how good he actually was or what weaknesses he had. Froch is in exactly the same position and it remains to be seen if he can answer the questions as emphatically as Pavlik did.

Taylor can beat Froch, the problem is, when he does, it will be like when Berto beat Trabant (I know, hes ****), it will just look like Taylor fought some euro bum and he won't get what he needs from the fight.

He'll get the WBC title at 168. He does need that.
