Is probably the most hyped Limited fighter I ever seen.

    He doesn't have a jab
He doesn't have a Upper Cut
    He doesn't have any defense.

He is the ultimate Walk forward fighter. He is good at applying pressure and throwing punches where he can hit.

    He is not fast
He is not smart fighter in which he relies on tactics to win a fight.

Margarito is an ALL OUT Brawler... He is bent on getting in the ring and throwing punches in regardless of Defense.

He is truly a The Boxing Definition of a "Pitbull" He is going for kill right away with no re-guard for the others persons abilities.

And Part of me like that about him..

But also That's why he lost to Slick Black Fighters like Rodney Jones, and Larry Dixon. They beat him because they did not stand there and just throw punches. They moved and boxed him. Just Like Paul Williams did.

Margarito has trouble with Movement, and speed.

Margarito is a fighter in which you can not fight his fight and expect to win unless you are stronger and bigger than him and cotto is none.!

If a fighter does decides to do that,

It Means they have abanded all strategy and decided to limited themselves too just throwing Punches....
With Knowing all these things about Margarito, It is obvious that.

Margarito cant win this fight. Cotto can Lose it.

If Cotto Loses this fight. He risk the chances of turning into Fernando Vargas Overnight

Cotto should Dominate Margarito in my opinion, with just using basic Boxing
I completely agree, Margarito is a bull. But his lack of a set up punch will do him in..

Look, I know you are probably not a fan of Mayweather and you probably dont listen to **** his says. But Mayweather said something about Conditioning that few fighters listen too.

When Williams lose to Quintana where did he train..?
and the second time Williams didn't train there.!
When De la hoya lost to Floyd where did Oscar train?
and if Oscar would have had a rematch with Floyd he would of not trained there..!

      Puerto Rico.!
Mayweather says all the time that Puerto Rico is not a good place to train simply because of the sea level and the air. And when fight time comes..
The air in America when cause the other fighter to get tired.

You made a great Point about Conditioning, and that being important for Cotto to win.

Cotto better hope he can adapt to the Vegas environment. Because if he doesn't. I feel that Margarito if he train properly will be able to take advantage of that. since he train on the ground level. and is Adjusted to the environment.

Oscar reason for tiring in his last 3 fights was not because he was out of shape. It was because he could not adjust to the environment.

This fight is in Las Vegas. Not New York. and the air and environment very different on the west coast. If cotto did not Prepare for this. I think Margarito will Knock him out in the late rounds. Because Cotto will be too tired. to box the way he needs too, in order to win.
This post is a great point. The altitude that got to De la hoya, and Williams Might do Cotto in/

I am really hopes Cotto can win this fight. I want to see him fight floyd undefeated.

Cotto is in trouble in the late rounds of this fight.
Did you even watch the Mosley/Cotto fight?
Cotton won the fight fighting backwards.

        Antonio CANNOT win this fight.
Only thing that could happen is Cotto giving the fight away, and he's way too focused, skilled and talented to let that happen to a B level fighter like Margs.

My thinking is that there is no way in hell he undertrained for Mosley (because of the significance) and that late drop in energy was a conditioning issue he may not be able to improve upon.

Maybe Floyd's right and he needs some more altitude to push those lungs.
im in that same boat with him looking winded in the late rounds of the mosley fight, alot of people say he was changin his strategy, but seriously, he looked tired, thats something that has me leaning toward a margarito KO, its crazy because rarely do i pick the underdog, but this is a prime example of a style making a fight, this is margaritos chance at the big time and i know hes gonna show up even if he loses.

I expect Cotto to use movement, jab and speed to beat margarito to a UD.

nice ali gif by the way.

I rewatched it last night to makes sure i wasn't just having selective memory. He was so winded in the 9th round that the commentators kept saying there was something wrong with him or he was injured, in the 11th and 12th when he was more effictively working with his limited energy they said he had changed his strategy.

I just think if he has that kind of conditioning late in the fight he's going to get put down. He got hit with a lot of looping rights too, but I must add his hand speed is going to be miles ahead of Tony and Tony will have to try to nuetralize it with accuracy and workrate.

I have no doubt in my mind That Cotto will get tired. But the question is How will he handle it..!
