I did consider that as a poll option --- but I wasn't sure how viable a Judah rematch would be if he wins.

Probably not any less viable than a Malignaggi rematch.
    So my bad.

I guess Clottey-Judah fits into the other welterweight category.

Dude, I am telling it like I see it. It doesn't matter what I would like to happen, it's what i think will happen with Cotto if he wins.

EVERYONE WOULD LIKE TO SEE HIM FIGHT PBF, BUT **** AIN'T HAPPENING....

we just dont know. Williams started out as a middleweight and I think they were just trying to get him a GOOD fight since Cotto/DLH LOOKED like it was going to be more of a possibility which is why they gunned for Pavlik.

one thing though, if Pac/DLH DOES happen, I see NO reason whatsoever why Cotto/Williams cant happen in December.

Didn't Williams weigh in at like 145 in the Quintana rematch? People are saying that PWill is killing himself to make Welter.
          I'm just not seeing it.

Assuming Miguel wins without controversy --- Margarito obviously deserves no rematch.

            • Should Camp Cotto make a serious effort to install Miguel as the opponent for De La Hoya's career swansong in December, with a view to luring Mayweather out of retirement for a showdown between the 2 in 09?

If not, which of the fighters around him @ welterweight should he target next?

I think an Andre Berto is at this stage still just a shade inexperienced to face a Miguel Cotto.

            Who else is there?

            • Should Camp Cotto quickly intervene in negotiations for the next fight of Paul Williams, assuming Williams can make it down to the welter limit again?

            Or.

            • With the man some had considered Cotto's main threat @ welter apparently serious about moving up to fight names @ middleweight, should Cotto consider moving up in search of new challenges?
Does anyone think the idea of Cotto moving up to take a junior-middleweight title from a Sergio Mora is out of the question?

            Or.

            • If Cotto schedules a keep-busy fight for the Fall, should he entertain the thought of rematching Paulie Malignaggi @ welterweight if The Magic Man beats Hatton?
Paulie has spoken of his desire to move up and avenge the Cotto loss, and if the Hatton fight sees him recapture the magic missing from his last 2 bouts the rematch could be an intriguing proposition.

Vote in the poll and post opinions on the thread.
Cotto should definitely push for the DLH payday - it accomplishes several objectives: 1) It pushes Cotto's name into the mainstream on the heels of a win against Margarito; 2) If Cotto beats down DLH - the media and hardcore fans will pump up Cotto's resume and then seriously question PBF's motives for retirement and/or degrade PBF's victory against DLH; 3) All that discussion could set up a Cotto-PBF fight in Jun '09 (in MSG for the PR Parade)

He should fight Oscar in december,If oscar doesnt want to he could fight PW.If PW doesnt want to fight Clottey if he wins.

              If he does fight Oscar.
              Fight Clottey in March 09.
Then fight williams in June 09 in MSG.
I would say push for a PBF fight at the end of next year but hes retired so theres no point.

If there is no one else to fight by the end of next year just move up in weight.

If Williams moves up, it would likely be to middleweight.

Williams could be establishing himself @ middleweight by the time Cotto is done unifying @ welter.

Are you suggesting they could meet @ junior-middle?
Or do you think Cotto could fight P-Will @ middleweight?

You guys ***** about Floyd Fighting Oscar...Saying he was too old and past his prime in the first fight...

But you guys want Cotto to fight Oscar when he is older and even more past his prime.

When Floyd Fought Zab Judah, Judah was a bum who just lost to Baldomir.

When Cotto Fought Judah, Judah was The Man. And Cotto win over judah prove how great he was...

When will you guys See the hypocrites for what it is...., You guys are Hypocrites.and have double standards, and bias.

Then that means you would like to see him fight Oscar, because that is the road that would be most likely to lead to Mayweather.
