Is that Diaconu next fight? or will he get to have a voluntary defense?

I don't know. He lost to Stipe Drews, who embarassed himself.
Then he beats two no namers then gets a shot at Diaconu.
Diaconu should fight Zsolt Erdei for the European Light Heavyweight Championship.
They could have that fight in Romania, or maybe Germany.

But Branco, how does he get to be in the picture?

Branco's been around at the top level for a long time, so think it will be an interesting test for Diaconu.

In the Drew's fight I heard he just had trouble dealing with his height & movement, even though Drew's is a little dubious.
This was mainly due to Branco slowing down.

Diaconu is a pretty straight ahead fighter, so Branco's not going to have to try & chase him around the ring, & his experience could give Diaconu some problems.

That said, favour Diaconu pretty solidly in this one.

The WBC chose Branco, Diaconu didn't.

He's not a "hypejob" - most people have never heard of him.
