pavlik is the now... the future is guys like ward and dirrell and possibly berto- though his future is cloudy with the other titans at welterweight. i liked dirrell ALOT against hanshaw, hence my vote for him (probably will be one of the few he gets...)

Once again, he's already a star. This isn't about who the best is, with the best chance of being a star for a while.
This is out of the guys who have YET to prove themselves, completely different.
Pavlik is a WORLD champion, defended his title twice, in a rematch and in a mandatory. One PPV under his belt that did margainally well, and is on HBo on a regular basis.

The now of the American boxing is guys like Diaz, Pavlik ect. The future of American are Dawson, Dirrell, Mares, Berto ect. While Berto and Dawson holds titles, they have not hit their true primes yet and has a long way to go. The still have much more to accomplished and both are only in their mid twenties.Comment
