Without mainstream hardcore fans pretty much every prospect would go unnoticed to the casual fan, Mayweather wouldn't have gotten the shot he wanted at super feather for his first title unless the hardcore fans demand it. The causual fans bring in the money, the hardcore fans make sure that the casual fans pay attention.

according to them how great a fighter is consist of the speed of him running and his ppv sales

Because he hasn't achieved nearly as much.
He couldn't retire and have the respect he wants without putting some big names on his résumé.

            Assuming Miguel keeps winning.

Will you promise to reply on this thread when I bump it after Mayweather comes out of retirement and waxes Cotto?

Jus so I can watch you eat the faeces you just posted?
Mayweather didn't duck anyone at 135 admittedly but as he moved up in weight he was more choosey about who he fought as they were smart buisness decision with less risk and more or the same reward. He fought people he KNEW that he could beat not ones that could cast a very small doubt in his mind.

He wanted to retire rich and on top and he did but his legacy unless he fight Cotto/Marg will be marred by not fighting the best at 147. It could be so much better than it was, after Hatton he had almost 3/4 of a year off, if he has fought Cotto and Margarito just two fights, there would be no complaints. NONE. He would've had my full respect even if he had lost because he actually fought the top guys at 147. His resume is good but it lacks that one defining fight at the most packed weight class at the time.

Couldn't agree more. Especially aqbout the PPV sales. Its pathetic. You would think they were getting some of that money the way they cling to that!

The Mainstream Hardcore fans, are the problem they are not real fans...Just **** riders...

The Mainstream Hardcore Fans = The So called Hardcore Fans who go with Popular Opinion. They are basically followers. Wheater it is HATE or Support they just go with the Hardcore Mainstream TALKING POINTS. Because they lack the originality to be themselves, and think for themselves.

but he took on the greatest challenge on his weightclass first
and mayweather was p4p n1 by default after hopkins lost, so he isnt a better p4p number 1 than calzaghe/pac right now
You were licking Kessler's *******, and then I challenged you to name somebody he beat and you couldn't.

i knew that you didn't know **** about the sport.

                      -Beyer
                      -Andrade
                      -Mundine

All top contenders in the Super middleweight division.
Was Kessler the legitimate, linear titlist? I know that Judah and baldo were.
