I remember that fight, it was on Tuesday night fights. Gomez gave a pretty good fight till the nasty Ko finish.

It ended in the 11th by the way.

gamboa won't let a fighter with ko power to get a clean punch on him. he fights wide open against the opponents that he has had thus far cuz you need to give up some defense to create offense and he is trying to be as exciting as possible. but if you put him in the ring with someone like pacquiao, gamboa would look defensively sound. he is far more seasoned a fighter than you think. he will be p4p king by the end of 2010 for sure.

I haven't seen the fight so i was just guessing, lol. But i know Hbo was not satisfied with Mosleys performance against Holiday so Mosley fought on TNF, the rest is history.

Mosley fought on basic cable again against Eduardo Bartolome Morales, it was on TNT I believe.

Anyway, Jimenez was a tough out. But HBO would be out of their minds not to bring this kid back. He has IT.
Indeed he did. Jimenez is no push over and Gamboa defeating him in only his 10th fight is a great accomplishment IMO.

He took a beating, and kept on coming. As I'm sure you know, Gamboa is the exception to the rule. They're moving him along quickly because he's ready to be moved along quickly. Teddy said as much in tonight's post-fight interview.

i hope they keep him moving in this pace.

he'll reach 20 fights in less than 3 years if they keep moving him.

HBO didn't want to do a 2nd card. They were originally talking about bringing back Angulo, Gamboa and Gutierrez for another B.A.D. card but Gamboa didn't deliver..
                      That's why he asks dummy.
No, Gamboa had the ESPN fight signed and scheduled before his last B.A.D. even happened. The HBO announcers talked about it during the broadcast, and were worrying in the late rounds that since the fight was going the distance Gamboa might not be ready to fight on ESPN in only 2 months.
