The reason this was on ESPN and not HBO is because of his last performance...
If not this would have been of Boxing After Dark rather then Friday Night Fights,
HBO didn't want to do a 2nd card. They were originally talking about bringing back Angulo, Gamboa and Gutierrez for another B.A.D. card but Gamboa didn't deliver..
      That's why he asks dummy.

Gamboa beat Jimineze's ass though, so I don't see why HBO was so against having him on again straight away. I guess they just expected him to KO Darling, but you can't KO everyone.

Jimenez is a decent fighter too.
Normally they wouldn't put a guy with 10 fights against a guy like Darling who is 23-3.

He is still young. He can come back on showtime if he doesn't have a deal cut already. I was impressed with the way he dispatched the guy. I was impressed in his last 2 fights. The one mistake that he has is that he gets lackidasical. With all of that speed, he should never let a guy catch him. To go many rounds always helps, and for a young fighter, it is a blessing. He is already a top pro with his amatuer experience anyway. The lighter the gloves, the tougher the comp. I say 1-2 more fights, and he can fight for a title.

Gamboa will get knockout as soon as he faces someone with KO Power.

They'll bring him back just like they brought Mosley back after his ko win over Gomez in 12.

Yep. Didn't Jimenez win the N.Y. Golden gloves like three years in a row?
Anyway, Jimenez was a tough out. But HBO would be out of their minds not to bring this kid back. He has IT.
