I did notice that too, like the saying says "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" unfortunately on Gamboa's case that style of his can be easily broken

It's not second nature for him to keep his hands up yet but it's progress in the right direction.

It's true.. the fight was too short to tell so I take back my statement. I saw him drop his hands a couple times though and this is the reason why I posted this. Only real way to tell is to watch his next fight.

I've seen him fight four times now and even though it was a minute you could see a difference. Before he was just really loosy goosy out there with his hands really low. Tonight he seemed not to move as much and was concentrating on keeping his hands up which undoubtedly his new trainer Salas is working with him on.

Don't worry, he's got enough experience and he can adapt, if his chin proves to be good he'll be the goods. I don;t know when we'll find out about his chin though. He doesn't get hit much, he received a kd from jimenez but that was nothing, that was like a Roy Jones kd on Toney.

Nice 1st round KO but after being dropped in his last fight he still doesn't keep his hands up. I like Gamboa, like his style and is exciting to watch but if he don't learn to keep his hands up he is gonna be in lots of trouble when he steps up!

A fight I want to see him in down the line would be Linares though, Linares is moving up. With their styles it would be very entertaining business! Yuriorkis better keep them hands up against Linares though boy, I'll tell you that!

I just seen Al Seeger fight and still not buying it.

Al Seeger is a contender who took the fight in a 3 day notice. So maybe couple of other fight to with good contender and traveling around the world with make him better
