I'm absolutely not ok with how Arum is handleing Pav and I said it many times. I think the Hop fight is ******. I think a Williams fight is ****** BUT with the fighters he has to pick from at this moment because he needs to stay active, there is nobody who will be happy with whoever it is. I agreed with you several times that Pav should fight AA and I know he indeed will. Going straight for JC after an almost certain win over Hop is not something I think alot of fans will frown upon, me included. I think it will be a career defining moment. Going for Gold because Silver isn't available isn't something to be looked down upon especially in terms of a career standpoint. You also said it yourself, AA has been waiting for how long, even pre Pavlik, a few more fights won't kill him to get his ass handed to him.

We don't know if Abraham's camp will even take the damn fight over here. The fight is not even financially feasible right now. Explain something to me. You damn well know AA's camp will not do this fight cheaply if they take it, same as Pavlik's camp. So you please explain why any promoter would shell out 10's of millions for a fight with an unknown fighter in AA and an almost unknown fighter in Pavlik?

Money talks in this game. Your chest pounding will get you nowhere. AA would not be in this position if he did not waste his entire championship reign fighting 2nd tier opponents in Germany. He has finally started showing his face, he needs to do it again over here, perhaps on a card with pavlik.

What it all comes down to, is the AA vs. Pavlik fight might not ever happen. It is easy for us to demand the fight when we are not the ones taking a financial risk with it.

Why hasn't AA ever fought Sturm? Same country right? You damn well know there would be interest in it and it would be a pretty big event. Well you got two camps wanting too much money and it makes the adventure risky. So it never happened.

Dean, you are a poster with a respectable argument. PAv is chasing Hop and then Cal. Don't you want to see a middleweight unification? Don't you see what Arum is doing? Why fight the fight here when it can be fought overseas too? Why not put them on the same card. Pav is in his prime. Is he going to get credit for putting old men to rest? Prime fighters beat prime fighters. This second tier opponents thing has been said about many a fighter when it comes to a fans favorite fighter. Every fight does not have to be on ppv, and you can't start of fighting for millions, and then all of a sudden when you run out of options, find someone who can earn you millions. Judah-Kostya was on regular cable. Castillo-Corrales on regular cable. Abraham fought on showtime and called the champ out. When it comes to Arum, nobody is overpricing themselves out.
