Kelly Pavlik: "Bernard Hopkins Will Get ****** Up"

WBC/WBO middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik plans to put the heat on Bernard Hopkins on October 18 at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Pavlik says Hopkins is not active enough and unlike Hopkins' bout with Calzaghe, Pavlik plans to batter the old veteran. Pavlik-Hopkins will take place at the catch-weight on 170-pounds and televised by HBO pay-per-view. [details]

if Hopkins loses, it will only be because of his stamina

            i do!

plus if he beats Hopkins better than Calzaghe did, it forces Calzaghe to fight him

Yup, I care about it. Good fight, in my opinion. Hopkins is a legend, great fighter, coming off a close loss to the no. 2 p4p fighter in the world so he's not badly shot. I think it makes sense, and personally I can't wait. I might even come over from Blighty to watch this one.

I would look forward to Hopkins v Pavlik. If BH were to beat Pavlik, which he could well do. JC might not have to waste his time fighting Pavlik.
Because JC beat BH, so JC has done well to beat BH in America. But then if Pavlik were to beat BH. THe JC and Pavlik match would be a bit more mouthwatering. Pavlik really would be the real deal and a worthy challenger for ending JCs unbeaten record.
That is if RJJ dont put a spanner in the works?

I wish the fight was at 160 with the title at stake. These non-title catch weight matches take a lot of the aura away from fights. Especially as a Pavlik fan he looked a bit sluggish in the Taylor rematch which was at 166 but during the fight he was well into the 170s. I'll still buy the match

i dont particularly want this fight to happen but i would watch it nonetheless.
for me its a pointless sojourn for Kelly Pavlik.
